Questions in Kijang are designed and reviewed by education professionals to align with educational standards, promote learning objectives, and provide a fair and challenging experience for participants.
Kijang caters to all secondary school and pre-university students by offering two different categories.
Questions in Kijang are drawn from real-life situations and contemporary issues for students to enhance the practical application of economic concepts and at once stimulate their problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Kijang's syllabus incorporates the Malaysian school syllabus to ensure that the competition is directly relevant to what students are learning in their classrooms.
Competition Format
- The competition is online-based and administered at each participating school under the invigilation of Teacher-In-Charge.
- There are 30 multiple choice questions for each category.
- The duration is 1 hour 15 minutes.
- The questions are available in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- All participants need internet access to take part in the competition.
Language
All questions will be prepared in English and Bahasa Melayu only.

How to
register?
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- On the competition day, the schools will conduct the contest at their own venues.
- Schools are responsible in enforcing the regulations of the competition.
- It is strongly advisable for all participants to sit for the competition at once, the teacher-in-charge has the flexibility to arrange for participants to answer questions in batches if necessary.
- In case of disconnection, participants are allowed to resume once the internet connection is restored. However, any time lost due to the disconnection is counted towards the 75-minute time limit. Therefore, it helps to ensure that the internet connection is stable before starting the competition.
Competition Procedure
Registration:
• Registration for the competition is done by teacher-in-charge at www.contesthub.my/register.
• The registration requires school, teacher, and student details.
• Payment for the competition is made during the registration process.
Confirmation and Information:
• Once registered, participants will receive the competition manual, username, and password on Contesthub a few days before the competition day.
Competition Day:
• Schools conduct the competition at their own venues during the competition period.
• The teacher-in-charge oversees the competition, ensuring that it adheres to standard examination or competition regulations.
Result Announcement:
• Approximately 3 months after the competition, the results are announced.
• This time frame allows for the careful evaluation and validation of participants' performance.
Certificates and Medals:
• E-certificates are provided to participants through Contesthub.
• Hardcopies of certificates and medals for winners are couriered to the respective schools.
